What are some staples that, when you apply them to dishes, elevates the flavor and nutrient profile tenfold? For me its a little thing called sauce.
With the right ingredients, a sauce can help balance your blood sugar and lend vitamins, minerals, and even have anti-inflammatory effects on your body. Not only can a sauce be healing, but for me it is what I rely on to keep my taste buds excited when I opt for go-to staples, such as rice bowls and the standard chicken + veggie + starch meal. And when you can heighten the enjoyment of a dish, you typically become sated with less. When you enjoy each bite more, you learn to stop and enjoy the present moment, chew well, and become nourished on a whole new level.
This recipe is a delicious one, plus it has some rock star ingredients. Our turmeric milk mix really elevates the flavor and adds nutrient density. And if you aren't familiar with the bennies of turmeric, it is a pretty amazing spice. Some of its nutritional highlights include:
- potent anti-inflammatory
- anti-cancer
- detoxification support
- improves cognitive function
- supports blood sugar balance
- maintains kidney function
I'm all for when something can be delicious and support your health and feeling good. If you do not have our turmeric milk mix, you can get it here or simply substitute a couple pinches of turmeric powder and add a drop of honey or generous pinch of coconut sugar. The result will not be quite the same, but still tasty. :)
