Since as long as I can remember, I have had an affinity for coziness. All things, people, and surroundings that helped me feel warm, comfy, and safe were amongst my favorite. My most beloved.
Entering youth and adulthood, it was so depressing that most things I found surrounding health were the antithesis of feeling cozy. Punishing exercise, guilt ridden food beliefs (so long cozy evenings baking with mom) , and strangely air brushed pictures on magazine covers that that left me comparing myself to other women. Ick!
I don't believe well-being should be any of those things. It shouldn't be rooted in what you shouldn't have, it should be rooted in all that supports you in feeling well. There shouldn't be a focus of push until you can't, but rather listening to what helps you thrive. Well-being should, above all else, feel good.
Amongst other things, I created Nourish 360 because I wanted a vehicle of inspiration to show other women that could be the case. How health and our journey towards it and in it can feel good. How it can feel like s big hug at the end of the day. How it can be gentle and loving and yes, cozy.
I urge you to ask yourself how it is that you view health, wellbeing, and your personal journey. Is it something that is exciting and feels empowering? Because it can be.
If you could do one thing today that would help you to feel good + cozy what would it be? Would it help you to feel good in the moment and afterwards?
Start there. Move more towards gentleness, towards compassion for yourself and start... little by little stepping away from the guilt. From anything that feels punishing. From the constant struggle. Whether it be towards your body, your food, your mind, or mindset.
You don’t deserve that.
You have this life. This one. At your fingertips. So love it. And be kind to yourself. I certainly want that for you. Don't you?
Is there anything that Nourish 360 can do to help better support you along that journey? If so, I am all ears. Xo
