Happy Holidays people! This is definitely one of my... ok actually it is my favorite time of year. I love the vibe that the holidays bring with the crisp air, warm drinks, and reasons abound to celebrate. There is no way like putting on some of my favorite holiday tunes to really delve into the season and all it has to offer. So, I created this lovely playlist for you to enjoy. I hope it helps you enjoy the holidays and slide right into the festive spirit; hot cocoa in hand. I hope it finds you inspired to step away from the stress and the over-the-top-ness the holidays can sometimes bring and settle into the simple beauty that the end of the year has to offer. Below I have listed some of my favorite slow and meaningful activities I love to do while listening to my favorite holiday tunes.
- write down my goals and dreams for the New Year
- decorate our home and Christmas tree
- bake cookies
- homemake/create presents
- write christmas cards
- sit still with a cozy blanket, pjs, and sip tea or hot cocoa
- make homemade ornaments with my family
I hope you enjoy the playlist I have made for you and that you enjoy the holidays and the stillness between the moments. Remember to receive, sit still, and soak it all in.
You can also access the playlist on Spotify, here.
Happy holiday music. Xo
And some other holiday happenings:
I hope you will join me on Sunday, December 18th at CarmelBarre in Monterey for a lovely Nourish 360 Holiday Survival Afternoon Retreat. I will leading this cozy afternoon focusing on holiday wellness in order to escape the holiday overwhelm and focus on our personal health, self-care, and connection to make the holidays meaningful and special. I hope to see you there!
I am so honored and excited to say that my essay, "Less of More," has been published in the winer 2016-17 edition of Bella Grace Magazine. The lovely quarterly publication has been my favorite magazine read, right alongside Martha Stewart :) , for a couple years now. Their mission statement really says it all: " We believe: An ordinary life can be extraordinary; there is beauty in imperfection, and that magic can be found in the everyday." Well, I just couldn't agree more.
